PACKAGE ITINERARY   10 days / 9 nights 

DAY 01      Arrival
Upon arrival at FCO airport, greeted and transfer to your hotel.
Afternoon
Our guide will give you a deep understanding of Rome’s ancient civilization. Start your walking tour to discover the monuments of the Roman age. From Roman Forum, the world's most extensive single site of Roman ruins and the nearby Arch of Septimius Severus, scroll through the streets to the Roman Colosseum, the most famous symbol of the city and an incredible feat of Roman architecture and engineering.   


DAY 02      Rome 
Visit to the world’s smallest country and the centre of Cathedral – City of Vatican. Visit the impressive St. Peter’s square and Church, also inside Vatican Museums, the Raffaello’s rooms and the Sistine Chapel.
In the afternoon, start exploring the Baroque Rome sites. Our guide will bring you around the city centre to discover the monuments and the palace of the Baroque period: Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain and Piazza di Spagna. Stop for a visit at the magnificent Pantheon, one of the best-preserved Roman buildings in the world and the Piazza Navona. Complete your walk by climbing to the Palatine Hill and have a panorama view of the heart of Ancient Rome.

DAY 03      Rome to Florence with stops in Orvieto and Civita di Bagnoregio 

In the morning leave Rome and about 1.5 hours north ward you will reach a charming Umbrian town of Orvieto, the most important town of the vast territory of Etruria with many interesting churches and palaces.
Continue to Civita di Bagnoregio, it is built on a mountain of tufa rock in a valley which has slowly eroded over the centuries making the city now accessible only by a long and spectacular pedestrian bridge and seems to be in the middle of nowhere like an island. With only eight year-long inhabitants the town is a fascinating place to visit.
Arrive Florence in the late afternoon, check in your hotel and have a good rest. 


DAY 04       Florence

Your Florence historical walking tour starts from the hearth of city: Repubblica Square and scroll through streets and alleys to the medieval quarter to Piazza della Signoria with Loggia dei Lanzi, an open-air sculpture gallery of antique and Renaissance art. Continue to Santa Croce Church, famed as the “Westminster Abbey of Florence”, it is a gorgeous Florence church with frescoes by Giotto, architecture by Brunelleschi, and the tombs of Michelangelo, Galileo and other Tuscan cultural giants. Next stop to Piazza del Duomo and marvel at the vast Cathedral with its magnificent Cupola del Brunelleschi, the Giotto bell tower and  St John's Baptistery with its bronze doors.

DAY 05      Excursion to Siena and San Gimignano
This morning, drive through the rolling hills of Chianti to visit of Siena to the Church of San Domenico also known as Basilica Cateriniana and at Fonte Branda that was one of the city's principal sources of water in the Middle Ages.
Your tour continue along the historical streets of Siena admiring the Palazzo Salimbeni built in gothic style is now the headquarters of the bank Monte dei Paschi di Siena and Palazzo Tolomei one of the oldest in Siena.
Piazza del Campo built in the beginning of the 1300's, is the principal public space of the historic center of Siena and is where the Palio race is held on July 2 and August 16 each year.
In Piazza del Campo set in the heart of Siena takes place the Palazzo Pubblico with the frescoes of Lorenzetti, the Torre del Mangia, as well as various noble palaces surround the shell-shaped piazza. At the northwest edge of the square there is the Fonte Gaia the endpoint of the system of conduits bringing water to the city's centre.
The magnificent cathedral of Siena, The Duomo, built in Tuscan Gothic style is a "must do", inside the Duomo, the inlaid marble mosaic floor is one of the most ornate of its kind in Italy and the pulpit, made of Carrara marble, was sculpted between the end of 1265 and November 1268 by Nicola Pisano. In front of the façade of Duomo stands the Ospedale of Santa Maria della Scala one of Europe’s oldest hospitals now a museum.
Continue to a Chianti winery for a lunch with wine tasting and learn the production of the famed wines.  
In the afternoon, San Gimignano, known as the City of Beautiful Towers, is a classic medieval walled hill town in Tuscany, as well as a UNESCO world heritage site. Its 14 surviving medieval towers create a beautiful skyline visible from the surrounding countryside. Originally there were 72 towers, some as tall as 50 meters, built by patrician families probably to demonstrate their wealth and power.  


DAY 06     Florence to Venice   with stop in Verona
Today continue your journey northward to Venice. On the way, you will visit the town of Verona, the town famous as the setting of the love story of  Romeo and Juliet, Verona it is also a town rich of so many historical buildings from the antiquity, the Medieval and the Renaissance period that has been named Unesco World Heritage Site.  
Arrive Venice and aboard the private motorboat that direct to your hotel.
In the afternoon, have a guided walking tour around the famous historical sights of Venice, such as St. Mark’s Square, the Basilica with its interior, and the Bridge of Sighs (Entrance not included). Visit inside of the Doge’s Palace, which will make us understand the power of Venice in the past: the Chamber of the Great Council, the Chamber of the Council of Ten, the Doge’s Apartments and the Giants’ Staircase.

DAY 07     Venice
In the morning private tour of the Lagoon Islands (Murano, Burano and Torcello). Murano is the island famous for its glassmaking; here you will admire the glass masters at work while they create works of art. The reputation of Murano as center for glass making starts from the 1291 when the Venetian Republic to avoid the risk of fire and destruction of the wooden houses of Venice ordered to glassmaker to move their foundries to Murano.
The other isle of your private excursion tour is Burano, the most colorful island famous for its lace making and its picturesque fishermen's houses painted in bright pastel colors, as Burano is a fishing village on an island, probably the bright color of their houses needs to the fishermen to locate them from a distance.  
Then you will arrive to the hidden Venice islands of Torcello to see the most ancient monument of the Lagoon: the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta decorated with outstanding Byzantine mosaics.

DAY 08      Venice to Milan
This morning, leave hotel to Venice Piazzale Roma by water taxi and transferred your car to Milan.
In the afternoon explore the most famous monuments of the city, universally praised as Italian art masterpieces: The Duomo, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, Piazza della Scala with the famous theatre, Castello Sforzesco, Loggia dei Mercanti and Via Dante with its café and shops.
Visit the UNESCO World Heritage listed Santa Maria delle Grazie, which houses “The Last Supper”, Leonardo da Vinci's masterpiece.
Shop around the famous brand shops and of course the must-go Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II for the remaining of the day.

DAY 09      Excursion to Lake Como
Lake Como is the third largest lake in Italy surrounded with scenic towns. Jump on a schedule ferry reach Bellagio to visit the Villa Serbelloni, probably built on the site of one of Pliny the Younger’s two villas on Lake Como. Continue to the Neo-Classical Villa Melzi, it overlooks the lake in an undulating English landscape park, richly planted and decorated with ornamental buildings.
In the afternoon, visit to the Villa Balbianello, with its terraces overlooking the lake, sites for lawns, trees, shrubs and a chorus of statuary. Then visit to Villa Carlotta on the western shore of Lake Como, built as a summer residence for a Milanese aristocrat, combines dramatic terracing, parterre and grottoes with an extensive landscape park and arboretum.
